Session Lifecycle
Every session walks the same five states: it opens, takes predictions, locks the close, resolves at the bell, and pays out. Nothing is settled by hand.
Session opens
t-minus
A PRINT session is created for a ticker — an overnight (daily) or the weekend flagship. Staking opens to Night Traders; Rookie Floor sessions are rookies-only.
PRINT window
until lock
Stake $BELL on GREEN or RED versus the prior official close. Your stake LOCKS — it is not burned yet. Bigger stake, a longer 14-day hold and a live streak all raise payout weight.
Lock
Fri 16:00 ET · daily close
At lock the prior official close is snapshotted on-chain and entries stop. Weekend sessions lock Friday's close; the 65-hour void begins.
The Opening Bell
Mon 09:30 ET · daily open
A permissionless poke samples the Chainlink official feed as a TWAP over the first ~15 minutes — never a single tick. The print reveals live; the first poke earns a small bounty.
Collect
after resolve
Right side pulls back principal plus a weighted share of the Floor Pot. Wrong side has 80% of its stake burned (20% already went to the pot). A VOID refunds every stake in full.

1 · Session opens
Anyone can create a session for a listed ticker — creation is permissionless. Each session is tagged daily (overnight) or weekend, and optionally Rookie Floor (open only to wallets with few resolved sessions, so newcomers aren't matched against sharks). Staking is open.
2 · PRINT window
Night Traders call GREEN ▲ or RED ▼ and stake $BELL. The stake locks in the contract — it is not burned yet. You can still fold (sell or transfer) your ticket up until lock. Your payout weight is set here from your stake, your 14-day hold, and your streak.
3 · Lock
At the session's lock time the prior official close is snapshotted on-chain and no new entries are taken. Weekend sessions lock Friday's 16:00 ET close and the 65-hour void begins; after lock a ticket becomes soulbound (non-transferable) until it resolves.
4 · The Opening Bell
At the open, resolution is a permissionless poke — anyone can trigger it, and the first successful poke earns a small bounty from the insurance vault (there is no privileged resolver who could hold the round hostage). The outcome is read as a TWAP of the Chainlink official feed over the first ~15 minutes of the session, compared to the locked close. On the app this is the live reveal — the print lands on screen with the signature ring.
VOID — "Halted. Pot rolls forward."
5 · Collect
Claims are pull-based — you call collect; the protocol never pushes funds. The right side gets its principal back plus a weighted share of the Floor Pot. The wrong side has 80% of its stake burned (the other 20% already moved into the pot at resolve). A VOID pays a straight refund. Nothing expires silently — your record stays on the pot accounting and on the Collect screen.
