FAQ

The questions everyone asks — answered plainly, starting with the big one.

Is this gambling?

No — GAP is a skill-based prediction game. You read the weekend tape, weigh conviction across tickers, and manage a tradable ticket before lock. Three things make it a skill game, not a game of chance:

  • No house. There is no operator on the other side of your call taking a rake. Nobody sets a line against you.
  • Zero-sum between players. The Floor Pot is funded by wrong-side stakes (and, post-launch, a share of swap fees), and paid to the right side by weight. Value moves between Night Traders — it is not extracted by the protocol.
  • Skill carries the weight. Direction alone is often predictable, so the game is built around magnitude, multi-leg conviction (Combo), holding, and streaks — a coin flip won't win over time.

It is non-custodial and burn-to-play: you stake $BELL you could lose on a wrong call. Predict only what you can afford to burn.

Can I lose my stake?

Yes. A wrong call burns 80% of your stake (the other 20% goes to the pot). A right call returns your full stake plus a pot share. A VOID refunds you 100%. Stake only what you can afford to burn.

Where does the reward come from?

The Floor Pot — losing stakes today, plus a share of swap fees once the fee router ships post-launch. It is never minted or paid from an inflationary token, which is exactly what keeps the economy from spiralling.

Who decides the outcome — can it be rigged?

Nobody decides it. Resolution is a permissionless poke anyone can fire, and the result is a Chainlink TWAP over a window — never a single tick, never an admin call. If the data is missing or the feeds disagree, the session VOIDs and everyone is refunded. See Session Lifecycle.

Is my money held by the protocol?

No. GAP is non-custodial. Contracts hold only in-play stakes, the pot, and the insurance vault, and no admin can withdraw them to a team wallet. See Non-Custodial & Security.

Can I trade $BELL whenever I want?

Yes — $BELL trades 24/7. Session timing applies to positions, never to the token. There is no "market closed" gate on $BELL itself.

Can AI agents play?

Yes. Agents are first-class Night Traders — they appear on the Tape, badge-marked, alongside humans. See For Builders for the ABI.

What can I predict on?

Listed tokenized stocks with live Chainlink feeds — NVDA, HOOD, SPCX and more as markets are added. You call the open versus the prior official close.
